Happy Tuesday! Today we did Connecticut because Jaxson just turned five and Connecticut was America’s fifth colony!
You can find fun facts for kids on the National Geographic Site. We had fun listening to all the State Bird songs while we studied the states, too.
Jaxson did a coloring sheet. You can find basic State coloring pages by Crayola here but we used the cute ones I found here.
We did a blubber experiment because the whale is Connecticut’s state animal.
We made a rice krispy cake in the shape of a five with bulldozers and tractors to signify the building up of America and the growing up of a boy!
Then pa took us shopping for a birthday gift!
